Everyone is familiar with the perennial favorite The Year Without a Santa Claus, but have you heard of its sequel?  A Miser Brother’s Christmas focuses largely on Heat Miser and Snow Miser, the breakout hits of the first holiday special.  And yes…they sing the song.

We decided to go in a little bit of a different direction this holiday season.  A lot of us grew up watching animated Christmas specials every year until they became widely accepted traditions.  But did you know a lot of these holiday specials actually have sequels?  Well hold onto your magic hats because this week we’re going to be reviewing the Frosty the Snowman sequels.  Which one is the legit 2^nd installment?  Listen and find out.  Plus, we have a bonus review of the How the Grinch Stole Christmas sequel, Halloween is Grinch Night.

I bet you’re wondering why we decided to review Rocky II.  Did you know that the fight between Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed takes place on Thanksgiving?  Sure they don’t exactly do a lot of Thanksgiving feasting, but it counts!

 

 

Happy Noir-vember!  There are not that many noir sequels, so we wanted to make sure we reviewed this one.  The Two Jakes is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Chinatown.  Unfortunately, the sequel suffered a lot of setbacks, production delays, and one producer who attempted to turn himself into a cat.  Did we think it still came out okay or did we feel it missed the mark?  Listen and find out!

We decided this week to review a sequel which features the late, great Charles Grodin.  This week's show is all about My Summer Story (a/k/a It Runs in the Family) which is the sequel to A Christmas Story.  A (mostly) new cast stars in the sequel to the perennial cult classic.  How do they stack up against the original?  Listen to find out.

In honor of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, we're reviewing An Englishman in New York, the (kinda) sequel to The Naked Civil Servant (1975).  John Hurt returns to play English humorist and raconteur, Quentin Crisp, now living out his twilight years in New York.

This week the guys take a look at The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.  In a field full of fantasy book to film adaptations, does this movie make an impact or does it simply fall flat?
